A brief history

The site is currently being used as a retail gas station with an automotive repair shop. Groundwater impact was first observed in 2008 during an on-site soil and groundwater investigation. Soil impact was initially detected in 2015 during a UST closure. 

 

Proposed Remediation Plan

The proposed remediation timeline includes the injection of magnesium sulfate into the groundwater in 2025 to degrade volatile organic compounds.  Groundwater will be sampled periodically after the injections are completed to assess the degradation of the residual petroleum hydrocarbon compounds.
