A brief history

The site is currently being used as a retail gasoline service station. Soil impact was first observed on site in 2005 during a sign installation. Groundwater impact was later detected in 2007. 

 

Proposed Remediation Plan

The proposed remediation timeline includes the injection of magnesium sulfate and sodium persulfate into the groundwater in 2025 to degrade volatile organic compounds.  Groundwater will be sampled periodically after the injections are completed to assess the degradation of the residual petroleum hydrocarbon compounds.
